Dog
of the Month: Greetings, my name is Pixie and I'm
seven years old in September. I'm a 13" Beagle and I love it.
I love to eat and munch on lots of things, therefore I am a little on the; I
need to exercise side. I enjoy looking at my other dog pals when I'm at the
park, but I prefer to just roam and investigate. I am extremely laid back
and enjoy observing, not so much participating. Hope to see you at the
park. My guardian Paula Browner takes me to
Junior
Humane Society: We all know people who are in
need of a loving dog. Now they can get one from the Jr. Humane
Society. On Saturday the 8th or 22nd of July, 10:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M.

Special
Thanks: The Associations monthly
Community Outreach program is going great. Attendance is improving and
the subjects discussed at the meetings have ranged from dog health to
training. A special thanks to the speakers and local businesses that
provided many door prizes: PetsMart, East Hill Animal Clinic, Airport
Animal Hospital, PetsSuper Market and Central Bark Bakery.
Please patronize these businesses that give so generously to our
community.
Pet
Shelters for Hurricane Evacuees: The project is now in the hands of the Escambia County Commissioners.
Commissioner Tom Benjanin office notified the Association that the issue will
be addressed August 10th at the County Commissions Committee meeting.

Celebration: Yes we are going to have a celebration at
Get ready
for Christmas in July: Yes, the Association is
getting ready for the Pensacola Christmas Parade. Many people have
asked to be put on the list to be in the parade. We would like
to help make this years parade better then last year. If you
want to be on the list visit the Associations web site at www.info@pensacoladogowners.org or
email us to have your name added.
Change
in Day of Monthly meetings: Effective, August
2006 ,we are changing the day that we hold our monthly meeting. It has
been held on the last Wednesday of each month, however, we have found that it
conflicts with many other organizations, so we are changing it to the second
Tuesday of the month effective August 2006.

Taking
your dog to Nursing Homes/Hospice Houses:
If you missed the Community Outreach program on June 28th and are still interested
in getting your dog certified to visit nursing homes/hospice centers please
contact Cheryl Giebel-Peterson at: bcinc1@juno.com .
Suggestions:
If you know a way that the dog parks or our
Association can be better. Please let us know. We are always looking for
ways to improve.
